Machine Renewal

In today’s world – green is the “in” color. Are you green?

In business, being “green” means you have an advantage over your competition. But what exactly does being green mean in today’s business environment? At home, we can recycle household products – paper, plastic and glass. We can use energy efficient appliances and light bulbs. We can also drive fuel-efficient cars.

In the business place - it can mean your employees recycle their paper waste, soda cans and drink bottles. It can mean your company uses renewable energy sources, as well as making your plant as environmentally sound as possible.

Many might think that was as far as you could go with today’s technology – however, material recovery and renewal services are also available in today’s manufacturing world.

But did you also know it is possible to re-use your machining equipment?

Whether it’s a commercial trade-in, or your own machine you need updated with the latest controls and technology, each machine is remanufactured to like-new specifications.

How does MAG Maintenance Technologies remanufacture your machine?

First, each machine undergoes a rigorous 151-point inspection process that determines which parts are reusable, what parts need replacing and which parts need to be retooled.

Following the inspection, the sheet metal is removed. It will later be replaced with new or refurbished sheet metal.

The next step is to completely clean the castings and prepare them for rebuilding. If necessary, the column is removed from the base so the box ways can be reground on all three axes – X, Y and Z.

During the rebuild, all the systems are technologically upgraded to meet the latest, most modern standards of machining. The machine is reassembled and goes through exactly the same quality checks that a new machine receives. Axes calibration – for X, Y and Z – and a ball bar test are performed to make sure the positioning and repeatability are compliant with the standards set by MAG machines.

The machine is then shipped to the customer – ready to begin a new life with improved performance and productivity.

MAG Maintenance Technologies revitalizes your machine to achieve optimal performance. Additionally, the cost of a remanufactured machine is significantly lower than buying a brand new machine – which increases the return of your investment.

So if you are looking for an ecologically-friendly, cost-effective way with high resale value machines – then MAG Maintenance Technologies has a product solution right for you!
